Breeding Stock For Sale

We  lambed in Sept  so the new crop of lambs are on the ground and doing well. We  lambed again in January/Febuary2014. The  lambs are out of Suffolk/Ramboulet;Suffolk/Dorset and pure bred Suffolk ewes. These ewes are bred with purebred Suffolk and Dorset Rams. There is a good selection of F1 and F2 crosses. IN 2011 we purchased 6 Texel rams to cross with some of our ewes. We also have a good selection of commercial Suffolk and Dorset RAM LAMBS available for sale.

A deposit now will hold the lambs until  they are ready to go . Check us out on face book for more pictures.

Premium Manitoba Lamb

Lambs are available year round. They are government inspected and generally weigh between 30 and 60 lbs dressed weight. We can deliver the lambs to your butcher or arrange to have them cut and wrapped for you.

Employment Opportunities

We are continuing to grow and are currently looking for additional team members:

 

POSITION ONE – This position is full time. We are looking for an experience Shepherd to manage all aspects of the sheep operation. You will work with and report directly to the ownership.

 

POSITION Two – This is a part time position to help with lambing. Shift work required. Weekend work required. December/Jan/Feb and May/June. Possibly more depending on needs.

 

About Mitch

I was given the opportunity to take over the business when my parents Bob and Marlene Millar retired in 1997. They had operated the business successfully since 1972. In 2001 MJ Millar Ranch Inc was formed . We currently are breeding 1750 head of Suffolk and Suffolk Xewes using Suffolk and Dorset rams. Our goal is to raise fast gaining lambs for the meat industry and produce excellent commercial ewe lambs for replacements. My wife Julie and daughters Marri, Jenna, and Lannea support me in running the operation.
